STOPzilla was released in 2001 as a pop-up blocker from the developer iS3. Years later, after it had a reputation for blocking unwanted pests, STOPzilla became a full anti-spyware utility that protects your computer against the unwanted-wares that can be such a pain in the back.
STOPzilla is a subscription based program, meaning monthly you’ll have to pay for a fee to use it. Normally an yearly fee is around $40 per year, but right now they have a promotion for around $10/year (not that bad), however it’s one of the offers on Trialpay which means that you can get it for free when you complete one of the offers from the advertisers listed via TrialPay. My review of STOPzilla: I used it back when it was only a pop-up blocker, and out of curiosity a little while ago, so my experience with STOPzilla antispyware is not that extensive. However, the first thing that you see is the simple interface, and backed by a “runs all by itself in the background” design, you basically install and forget about it. While it protects you of course. STOPzilla received the "West Coast Labs independent test”, which is quite a reputable award in the field of anti-spyware applications, so yes, it can remove threats and protect your system. How does STOPzilla compare with Spyware Doctor or other anti-spyware applications? I don’t want to go there, all have their pros and cons, and the best thing to do is a test before everything else.
